ITV has launched a new on-demand service for those abroad, according to recombu.com.
The new service is designed for expats living abroad. They can register and pay €5.49 (£4.64) a month for the service. This will allow them to have access to 30 days of catch-up to many ITV programmes, such as 'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale' ad-free.
The scheme will be available in 12 European countries. These are Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, Greece, Gibraltar, France, Belgium and Austria.
It is also said to be ideal for those holidaying abroad too, with a 30-day pass for the service available. However, ITV has recommended that travellers using the service should sign up before they leave the UK.
Talking about the service, Neale Dennett, the controller of pay and distribution at ITV, told informitv.com that this was "a landmark deal" for the broadcaster.
ITV has partnered with content company Saffron Digital to provide the scheme. Jason Keane, president of Saffron Digital, also added that the new measures were "an elegant solution to finding ways to reach more soap fans across Europe."
ITV has also said that related iPhone and iPad apps will also available soon.
