Quinta Verde Property Guide

Translating as 'green farm', Quinta Verde is a superior residential development situated close to the Quinta do Lago resort on Portugal's Algarve; one of Europe's most popular and beloved holiday destinations.

The area

Set amongst the calm and serene 'Golden Triangle' area, which comprises Amancil, Vale do Lobo and the afore-mentioned Quinta do Lago, Quinta Verde is certainly a hidden gem. An easy drive from Faro International Airport, this central Algarve development enjoys warm temperatures, long hours of daily sunshine and clear, star-filled nights. It is also situated near a glorious stretch of sandy beaches, which includes the family friendly Praia do Anção, unspoilt Praia de Albandeira and the Michelin Guide-nominated Praia da Marinha.

What's there?

The development itself consists of four and five bedroom luxury villas, each of which possess its own swimming pool and landscaped garden. Promoting well-being and quality of life, Quinta Verde residents have use of spa, gym and fine dining facilities on-site. There are also several top hotels in close proximity, offering yet more luxurious amenities. Shopaholics can satisfy their appetites at Quinta Shopping -  a complex of boutique stores, cafés, chemists and a supermarket.

Children are not forgotten about, either. If the beach and its myriad sports and attractions have become a bore, then the Aqualand and Zoo Marine theme parks are bound to return a smile to the little ones' faces.

Golf is the primary leisure activity in these parts - therefore don't be surprised to catch a Premiership footballer or two relaxing at the clubhouse. With several top class courses within the Golden Triangle, in addition to academies and dedicated golf stores, even the least inclined might find themselves drawn to tee off.

In the evening, residents can feast on the very best local cuisine - with delicious Portuguese steaks just one of the delicacies on the menu. After which they can enjoy the nightlife in one of the neighbouring resorts or venture into the more livelier Albufeira. There is always something going on, whether it's entertainment for the family or live music in a quiet bar.

Getting there

In a prominent and prestigious location, it's easy to reach the development. Flights to and from Faro are thankfully frequent - many of the lo-cost carriers serve this route, meaning that a quick trip over for a long weekend isn't beyond the realms of possibility, whether you originate from London, Lille or Luxembourg. Better still is that Quinta Verde is conveniently close the airport at just a 20 minute drive away and car hire is in abundant supply.

For those coming from further afield, the IP1 motorway carries traffic from the Spanish border to the east and pretty much all the way from Lisbon to the north (IP1/IP7). It couldn't be easier to reach.

Quinta Verde is the perfect destination; a sanctuary of tranquillity away from the crowds that allows both residents and holiday-makers to enjoy the Algarve the way it should be enjoyed.
